How to use the Scientific Calculator

  1. Type your expression using + - * / % ^ ( ) and functions like sin, cos, tan, sqrt, log and ln.
  2. Adjust any optional settings to match your page, business or campaign.
  3. Click the button to generate your result instantly — nothing is uploaded; the tool runs in your browser.
  4. Copy the result, or download it as a file where that option appears, and paste it into your site, document or campaign.

Frequently asked questions

Which functions are supported?

sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan, sqrt, log (base 10), ln, abs, plus ^ for powers, % for remainder, and the constants pi and e.

Degrees or radians?

Trigonometric functions use radians, as in mathematics. Convert degrees first: radians = degrees × pi ÷ 180.

Why does my expression fail?

Usually an unmatched bracket, a missing operator (write 2*sin(30), not 2sin(30)), or an unknown function name. The error message names the problem.

How accurate are the results?

Standard double-precision arithmetic — far beyond what hand calculation needs, with tiny floating-point rounding on some decimals.
