Frequently asked questions
What BMI counts as healthy?
18.5 to 24.9 is the standard healthy range. Below 18.5 is underweight, 25–29.9 overweight, and 30 or above obese, by the usual WHO bands.
What is a healthy weight for my height?
The calculator shows it directly: 18.5 × height² to 24.9 × height². For a 175 cm adult that is roughly 56.7 to 76.3 kg.
Is BMI the whole story?
No. It does not distinguish muscle from fat, and it is less meaningful for athletes, children and during pregnancy — treat it as a screening number, not a diagnosis.
