ROI Calculator
A return only means something when it is set against what you put in. Enter the amount invested and the final value, with the holding period if you have it, and this calculator shows the total gain or loss, the ROI percentage, and the annualised return so investments of different lengths can be compared fairly.

Frequently asked questions
How is ROI worked out?
Final value minus amount invested, divided by the amount invested, times 100. Invest 1,000, end with 1,250, and ROI is 25 percent.
What is annualised return?
The steady yearly rate that would turn the starting amount into the final amount over the holding period. It lets a 3-year return be compared with a 10-year return.
Does ROI include fees or tax?
No. Use values after fees if you want a net figure, and remember tax is separate and depends on where you live.
