.htaccess Redirect Generator
Every site redesign leaves old URLs behind. Redirect rules in .htaccess send visitors and search engines from old addresses to new ones without losing rankings. List your redirects and get ready-to-use rules.

Frequently asked questions
301 or 302 — which should I use?
301 for permanent moves (the default for migrations and redesigns). 302 only for genuinely temporary moves.
Where do the rules go?
In the .htaccess file in your web root, above most other rules. Always back up the file before editing it.
I use Nginx, not Apache — what then?
Nginx uses rewrite rules in the server config instead. The old-to-new list from this tool is still the planning step your developer needs.
